Bessie got decked out as the Rocket Ship, RS Vroom Stick, for Halloween this year. Jenny and I did some adult-supervision for Bessie as Witches. Together, we drove out to the Solid Gold McDonald’s for “food, folks and fun.” Instead, we got turned away for some bizarre reason. Were we too young, too pretty, too many, too British? So, the MINIs met in a corner by themselves and had their own party. By the time we got included, Jenny and I were disillusioned and continued our evening elsewhere with Noodles & Company for dinner and Guitar Hero III for entertainment. View Photos…

Bessie joined her fellow MINIs in a return to home base at International Autos. While the MINIs massed, the owners were treated to appropriately mini lunch and dessert. After conversation, treats and photos, we drove down to Sturtevant to visit Apple Holler. With the pleasently warm afternoon, Apple Holler was bursting with customers. The hottest fall drive in Wisconsin was with the Madison MINIs. At 84 degrees and the air conditioning cranked up, it didn’t feel like fall. The changing colors and the falling leaves were marvelous as we wound up hill and down through Dane and Iowa counties. As usual, people stared, people sidled up for a chat and people had lots of fun and their little dogs too. After an afternoon of winding roads, we finished off the evening with sandwiches, onion rings and hot wings at Quaker Steak & Lube.
