Ice Cream Escapades and Milwaukee Minis

A warm, fall evening brought out the MINIs to Bella’s Fat Cat on Oakland Avenue in Milwaukee. Familiar mates and new faces joined together for dinner and delicious custard. I had the flavor of the day, Malted Brownie, which was creamy, chunky and marvelous all around. Conversation turned to next year’s “MINI Takes the States” event and memories of the last event. With any MINI meet, owners can’t get enough and take to inspecting the little nuances that make each MINI unique. The low evening light mixed with neon glow produced some interesting lighting effects for the photo gallery.

Bessie and friends at the Milwaukee Art Museum.

Milwaukee will never be the same for the MINIs that braved the one-way streets and roundabouts for the Brew City MINI Tour. Our admirable organizers, Theresa and Wade, pulled together a twisting journey through the hidden treasures available only in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. We noshed on cheese, sausage, chocolate truffles and cannoli for dessert. History mingled in our adventure with tales from brewers, settlers and eccentrics. MINI owners co-mingled for group photos at the Milwaukee Art Museum, bowling at Koz’s Mini Bowl and lunch at Miller Park, home of the Milwaukee Brewers baseball team.
